Mexico Chiapas el Jaguar

These El Jaguar coffee beans come from small producers in Siltepec in central Chiapas. 

Chiapas is the southernmost state in Mexico. The local population of Siltepec depends on agriculture for its livelihood and coffee is at the heart of it. Siltepec’s coffee farms are enriched by the town’s proximity to the El Triunfo Biosphere Reserve.

Our first sample of this wonderful coffee showed off the strong presence of roasted pecans and unsweetened cocoa.  Further testing shows that we were correct. This is a wonderful coffee.
